Patons Grace (sport/DK weight, 100% mercerized cotton, approx. 50 g/1.75 oz, 125 m/136 yds). Color Taupe.  Approximately ˝ ball used for pattern.

G (4.5 mm) hook

Designed to fit an 18” doll, such as Molly, an American Girl, pictured.

This pattern is based upon the pineapple lace stitch, as it appears in Donna Kooler’s Encyclopedia of Crochet (2002, Leisure Arts).

Row 16:  Repeat Rows 2 – 6, Do Not Fasten Off

 

You will have a rectangle.  Slip stitch the edges together at your ending side for approximately 1 ˝”.  Fasten off and repeat for the other side.  Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

 

Edging:  Join with sl st into inside edge of shrug. 

Row 1:  Ch 1, sc evenly around the neck/body of shrug.  Join with sl st to first sc, Turn.

Row 2:  Ch 1, sc in each sc around.  Join with sl st to first sc.  Turn.

Row 3:  Ch 1, sc in each sc around.  Join with sl st to first sc.  Turn.

Row 4:  Ch 1, sc in each sc around.  Join with sl st to first sc.  Turn.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
